I have a column of dates ranging from blank to future dates. I want to apply conditional formatting based on comparison to today's date. I'm working in Office 2007.

Using the stoplight icons with the checkmark, exclamation point, and ex symbols, I want the following results:

Green: value >= (today's date + 2 months)
Yellow: value > today's date < (today's date + 2 months)
Red: value <= today's date
Blank: value = blank

I've thought to enter the foluma =TODAY() into a blank cell and then use it for comparison in the fomula. I don't know how to do the +2 months though. Besides this seems a cumbersone solution. Ideas?

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
For the 2 month thing, try value is less than today+60.

Also, I would reverse the order of your conditional format stack, since the formatting stops as soon as one of the equations is TRUE.

So, start first with the blank query,
then the red for prior to TODAY()
then the yellow one for the within 2 months from now window,
finally, be default, anything left will have to be more than 2 months out (assuming you only have dates in the cell)
