For example, assume my company wants to show a picture of a pie for what % a project is done. So you have the quarter-pie, half-pie, 3/4 pie, full pie, and then a completely different picture of an umbrella for 0%. These are all either .bmp or .png

Is it possible to type in any of 1,2,3,4,or 5 and then have the cell show one of these pictures?

And secondly, is it possible to have it behave "normally" for filtering? (so when you filter all the pictures don't jumble together).

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
I don't think that can be done, at least not anyway I know of. However there is a pie icon set available in the conditional formatting "wizard" you could use...it has an empty pie you could use for 0 instead of an umbrella though.

Thanks for the reply. I did see the icons, too bad it seems as though there is no way to customize the icons. Worse still, there are only three possibilities available when doing it this way, not the 5 I need.
