Conditional formating for two columns

I can't sleep, this is driving me nuts

Lieve Van den Heuvel	€ 5,320.75
Steve Wilssens	€ 4,130.20
Average	€ 3,891.56

I need to:

Highlight the names and the amounts in blue if the amount is below the average.

Highlight the names and the amounts in red if the amount is 15% above the average. What I managed to do: Highlight the amounts below the average in blue (never the names) I am losing my mind.... Thanks a LOT!!!!

Welcome to the board!

Supposing Dieter is in A1 and his amount in B1 for the sample data you posted, do the following:

1. Select A1:B6 with your mouse.
2. Home>Conditional Formatting>New Rule>Use a formula.
3. For below average formula is: = $B1 < $B$7
4. Choose format (blue fill)
5. Press OK
Repeat these steps for 15% above the average using this formula: =$B1 > 1.15*$B$7 and choose a red fill.

Assuming that your data is in A1:B7, try the following:

Highlight A1:B6 > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula

=$B1<$B$7

Format: Fill blue > OK > OK

Highlight A1:B6 > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula

=$B1>=1.15*$B$7

Format: Fill red > OK > OK
