Hi, this has me completely stumped :(:(:(

I have a number of text values in range $H$5:$H$44
I have a block of cells elsewhere (!$O$4:$V$4) and want any of the values in range 1 to have red text if they match any of the values in this range.
Seems very simple and I have tried a bunch of formulas, but they all either do nothing or apply the formatting to all the values.
The point is to be able to change the values in range 2 without updating the formula.

Additionally, I would like the cells in the 3 following columns from range 1 to follow suit, so if the first becomes red, they all do.

This has turned out to be the toughest thing I have ever tried in excel which is pretty strange to me... thanks much in advance.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"

Select H5:H44.
Fire up CF.
Select the formula option.
Enter the following formula:

=MATCH($H5,$O$4:$V$4,0)

And choose the format you wish when MATCH succeeds.

Worked perfectly. Still the issue of the columns to the right of the range. I would like them to match the formatting of the first range. Any way to do that?

Thanks so much, huge help!
