Converting Time To Decimal Equivalent

Good Morning;

We have a report in which the data gives the time an agent was in a particular Aux in terms of hours, minutes and seconds. In our finished report, we use only the hours and minutes and convert the minutes portion to the decimal equivalent. (ie: 5:07:24 would be 5.12, 7:45:35 would be 7.75, 2:26:41 would be 2.43 etc). Currently, all the conversions have to be made by hand by printing out a hard copy of the data and then writing in the converted number next to the time.

Does anyone know if there is a formula that would allow me to copy the time data and paste it into one column and in the next column, have excel automatically show the conversion?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Janine

I can't believe I didn't think of that! I just tried it and it worked perfectly!

Thank you so much!

Janine.
