Is there a simple way(or the simplest way) to count the number of rows a merged cell takes up.

So if I'm in A1, and cells B1:B5 are merged, I want to be able to say in A1 that merged cells B1:B5 take up 5 rows.

Thanx

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Something like
Code:
MsgBox Range("B1").MergeArea.Rows.Count
But merged cells are an abomination & should be avoided like the plague.
