Hi I'm using a countifs function where there are 3 arguments.

One of the arguments i'm asking it to look at is a date and if it falls in a certain month and year then it counts it as long as the other arguments also qualify, how do i go about writing this into my formula?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

You can do it with COUNTIFS as shown in D2, but I would normally swap to sumproduct as in D3

Excel Workbook
ABCD

3a14/07/20182
4a27/07/2018

Thats great thank you Peter.

I went with the sumproduct version.
Cheers. :)

Just be aware that the COUNTIFS is considerably more efficient, so if you have a very large amount of data (like many tens of thousands of rows) and/or a very large number of these formulas on your sheet there may eventually be a noticeable performance issue and you might be better to use the COUNTIFS.
