Does anyone know how to create a list of numbers from numbers in one cell seperated by commas

example

12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17


list would be like
12
13
14
15
16
17

Let A1 house the target string of comma-separated numbers.

In A2 enter:

=LEN(A1)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(A1,",",""))+1

In A3 enter & copy down:

=IF(ROW()-ROW(A$3)+1<=$A$2,INDEX(EVAL("{"&$A$1&"}"),ROW()-ROW(A$3)+1),"")

EVAL is available from the morefunc.xll add-in. Also, in VBA, from:

An alternative would be to uses Excel's Text to Columns feature

If you have less than 255 numbers you can get the numbers from a cell into columns by clicking on the cell in question.

go to Data, Text to Columns
Delimited, check the box next to comma
