Creating custom event listener

Hi,

I have used tons of event methods built into excel which include window resizing, cell changing, etc and their usefulness is amazing. I was hoping I could create a custom event listener though. In particular, I create an ADO connection and manually check if Connection.Open=adStateOpen here and there . However, if there is a way to create a custom event that is triggered when this status changes then that would be great.

Any ideas?

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
I actually never use worksheets, I am working purely out of a userform. Either way though, I need to know if the connection changes. Any other ideas?
