I am going on vacation soon and a replacement will be using my excel program. I would like to have a message pop up at 4:00 PM every day that says "Reminder, do End of Day procedure before leaving."
He clicks OK to continue, message disappears.

Can this be done? How? Thanks

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
If the user opens the workbook and continues to have it open the following code will work.

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()

Application.OnTime TimeValue("16:00:00"), "MsgPopUp"

End Sub

Sub MsgPopUp()

Call MsgBox("Reminder, do End of Day procedure before leaving.", vbInformation)

End Sub

But, only if he has it open. It will also only display the message in excel.

A better solution is to use outlook reminders set to daily.

Hope it helps

I already have a: Private Sub Workbook_Open()., that opens workbook to my INDEX worksheet everytime. There seems to be a conflict. Is there a way to add another (your) Private Sub or combine the two to work?

Just add this line to your Open event:

Application.OnTime TimeValue("16:00:00"), "MsgPopUp"

Then add the MsgPopUp code to a general module.

You'll want to make sure that you don't have two open events in the same wb or you'll get an error.
