Date input restriction

Excel 2007.

Cell is in date format, DD-MM-YY. My requirement: This cell should accept input of date
only between 01-04-2016 to 31-03-2017. If date input is beyond the period from 01-04-2016
to 31-03-2017, the input should not be accepted. Kindly advise me the formula.

Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
You can use data validation.

in the settings select to allow Date
select Between then the start and end date.
