Can someone please tell me how to format a cell for date addition (10/14/1999 + 7 years = 10/14/2006). Thank you.

Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
=DATE(YEAR(A1)+7,MONTH(A1), DAY(A1))

Where A1 holds the start date.

Formatting the cell won't achieve this.

If A1 = 10/14/1999 and A2 = 7, your formula would be:
=DATE(YEAR(A1)+A2,MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))
