Hi,

I am trying to create a dynamic formula to determine a starting date based on 1) today's date, and 2) a certain timespan.

When my dropdown says CYTD (calendar year to date), it's easy. IF(TimePeriod = "CYTD",DATE(YEAR(TODAY),1,1),....

But when my dropdown says FYTD (fiscal year to date), I'm having trouble. I need to build it where:
If today = Nov 1 2019 - Oct 31 2020, the output should be November 1 2019.
If today = Nov 1 2020 - Oct 31 2021, the output should be November 1 2020
And so forth...

Thanks!
