Decimal Places in Linked Cells

Cell J3 is formatted number, 1 decimal, value displayed 15.3. Cell L3 has the formula =CONCATENATE(I3," ",J3), where I3 is text, but J3 displays 13 decimals. How to make the concatenated J3 display only 1 decimal?

=CONCATENATE(I3," ",TEXT(J3,"0.0"))

=CONCATENATE(I3," ",text(J3,"#.#"))

Both solutions work.

But not in the same way.

When J3 is 123, Alan's formula returns 123. (trailing period). When J3 is 0.123, it returns .1 (no leading zero). When J3 is 0.0123, it returns . (just period!).

Gerald's formula returns 123.0, 0.1 and 0.0 respectively.

I would prefer Gerald's formula.
