I've defined a text dropdown list in two cells but don't know how to enumerate them (and non-contigiously) and then multiply them together in a calculation. Can anyone help please?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.

Perhaps if you provide an example showing where things are at and then show us what you want for the final answer from that example, we might have a better idea how to provide an answer to you.

Hi Rick,
This is for an RFI where I am assessing Vendors responses.
I have a column titled 'required compliance' which has a dropdown with selectable values "WILL", or "MAY" (the weighting) and another column titled "vendor response". This has a dropdown with selectable values, FC, PC, NC i.e. fully compliant, partially compliant and non compliant). A cell from each is multiplied together to give a score in the score column.
Hope this is enough information.
Thanks
