defining the x-axis and the variable in line graphs

This seems like a really stupid problem but I don't know how to fix it!

I have a table that looks like this:

YearMegawatts
201055
2011106
2012174
2013326
2014618
20151121

I want to make a line graph that just shows the growth in megawatts over time, with the years on the X-axis. Whenever I try and make a line graph however, it shows two lines, one with the MW and one for years. It doesn't seem to have recognised that the year column should be an axis and not a variable.

BUT, when I make a scatter plot, it puts the years in the x-axis and the megawatts as data points inside the graph, just like I want. This is great, but I want line graph!

I'm sure there's a simple answer to this, but I don't know what it is. Can you help me?

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Could you possibly explain in words what to do? I have to download some kind of programme onto my computer to view your link. Thanks!!
