Hello,

Excel 2010

I have a VBA programmed which opens a certain number of files. What I would like is that when the macro is run the recent file list of the person who is executing the macro does not get cluttered with all those files. Is it possible to reference to a certain cell with a value and have that amount of files removed from the recent file list (be carefull, I don't want to remove those files but the reference in the recent file list)? Or, even better, when opening these files open them without adding them to the recent file list??? Thank you in advance.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK

OK, maybe it helps somebody else as well, therefore I post my own workaround ;) I found in the mean time the option "Application.screenupdating = False" when this option is chosen files will not be added to the Recent file list.
