What if A10 contains a drop down box with 5 choices, and whatever is chosen from those 5 determines the set of choices in cell A14.

is it possible to build on the equation

=IF(A10="Yes",rngA,rngB) ,where there were only 2 choices for A10

in data validation? I can 'say' what I'm looking for - but don't know how to turn it into an equation :)

"If I chose 'A' then I get list A; If I chose 'B', then I get list B; If I chose 'C', then I get list C; If I chose 'D', then I get list D; if I chose 'E', then I get list E" ... translate please :)

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
I have tried this site, and though helpful -- it does not answer this specific question. For me to grasp what to do, I need an equation actually written out so I can learn the 'why' involved. I understood the rngA, rngB -- but when I tried to expand it to create 5 options, it did not work. I tried to make multiple (equations) but didn't know what to put in between the )( ... or if that is even the direction I'm supposed to go in.
