I'm having an issue trying to create a drop down selection for an excel based form. I was hoping to create a drop down list without needing to reference cells;

eg. What's your favourite colour? | Red
Blue
Green
Is this possible?

Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Hi

If you use data-validation you can just enter Red;Blue;Green in the Surce-box.

If you use a Combo-Box from the form or ActiveX Controls that appears to not work.

If you have your drop down selection on a actualt form you could do something like:
Code:
Private Sub UserForm_Activate()
     Me.ListBox1.List = Array("Red", "Blue", "Green")
End Sub

In Excel 2003, this also can be done with Data Validation:

Allow - List
Source - Red, Blue, Green (no quotes)

Hope this helps.
