Hi,

Iv'e got a helper column which produces an e-mail address in the cell A1 using the formula: =VLOOKUP(E9,A2:BI430,6,FALSE)

In another cell I have: =HYPERLINK(A1)

It produces a linked cell with the correct email, but when I click it I get the message: "Cannot Open The Specified File".

Can anyone help so the link opens in Outlook?

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Hi,

That works when I click on it, but oddly the cell text reads: mailto:xxx@yyy.com in it.

Can I hide the "mailto:" part?
