Error when mail-merging from spreadsheet with chart

Hi, all

I have a spreadsheet that I use to populate a Word template using a mail merge.

I've recently modified the spreadsheet to chart certain information, and the chart is on its own sheet, but when running the Word mail merge using the new spreadsheet as a data source, I get the error message "Error has occurred: External table is not in the expected format". All tabs that the mail merge reads from are password-protected.

When I delete the chart from the spreadsheet, the mail merge runs perfectly again.

Is there any way to retain my chart, while still retaining the mail merge functionality?

I'm running Word and Excel 2007.

I'd appreciate any assistance with this

Thanks

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Any help on this?

I'd love a workaround that doesn't involve 'delete the chart'.

Thanks
