I'm having a few issues calculating an average that includes a changing dataset.
Column A: Date data in entered
Column H: The data i want to find the average of
Cell L1 - Where I need the result.

The number of data rows changes every day but the dates the data relate to aren't always entered in the correct date order. How do i calculate the average of the data for the past 28 days only.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

You could use an array formula like this:

=AVERAGE(IF(A:A>TODAY()-28,H:H,""))

confirm with CTRL, SHIFT, and ENTER
