Hi Everyone,

I am calculating a date time timestamp but come up with an answer of ######### due to it being a negative d:h:m

example: 7/1/2015 1:30 PM - 7/1/2015 1:27 PM = ########

What I would like to see for an answer is the actual negative number in the d:h:m format (i.e. - 0:0:03)

Any suggestion how to do this?

Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered,
Dennis

FYI - using Excel 2010 if it makes a difference

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
There may be a simpler or better method but this worked for me:

=IF(B1-A1<0, "-", "")&TEXT(ABS(B1-A1), "dd:hh:mm")
