Excel Checkboxes functioning differently on different computers

I am using some check boxes to select reports to create with some VBA. This works perfectly fine on my computer, but has been doing some strange things on other computers.

Computer 1
Rather than simply click the item to check or uncheck the box, the user has to double click the item and then click into a cell on the worksheet before the check mark changes

Computer 2
On some, but not all, boxes, when I check and uncheck them the text becomes distorted and changes size

Has anyone experienced this before?

Duplicate Checkbox does not mark until clicking away
