trying to make this index formula in vba

ActiveCell.Formula = "=" & "@INDEX(oss,MATCH(A2,OSS!AJ:AJ,0),@COL)"
where col is an integer variable. if I put a number its working fine, also checked the value in the debug and there is a number over there.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Welcome to the Board!

Try this:
VBA Code:
ActiveCell.Formula = "=" & "@INDEX(oss,MATCH(A2,OSS!AJ:AJ,0)," & COL & ")"
