Hello,

I have an Access database that updates weekly. I am trying to run an Excel macro triggered by the completion of the database update (in this case, I want the excel sheet to Refresh after access updates).

I have very little Access experience (someone else set it up). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
is the data exported from access? (as static numbers in a cell)
or
are the cells in excel linked to the table (live data link)?

The cells are linked to the table. Refreshing the data from the data tab updates the information in excel. Connection type: Database Query

can you do,
toolbar, DATA, connections,
click REFRESH button

Yes, that is how it is done currently.
I would like to automate that step so that it happens automatically after the Access database updates. (The REFRESH step takes 20 minutes, so doing it manually prevents me from using any other excel sheets)
