Hi,

I've been getting a message when I'm moving around in excel and it's starting to get annoying. In the lower right corner i'm getting a message that says 'Calculating (2 Processor(s)): ??% it's counting through the ?? as a percentage, but it's taking a while. An example of what it's doing is a sheet with no formulas, 9 columns, 798 rows going into a data filter. If i try to filter down by date it's taking almost 12 seconds to complete a filter. It's getting worse on a big spreadsheet with a bunch of formulas and a few macros. That one is taking about 5 minutes to run through where it used to take about 40 seconds.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
if other tasks on your computer are slow as well, i would suspect your hard drive is either very fragmented or a bit sick. if its only in excel, perhaps try copying the data to a new workbook and try to eliminate possible problems in your current workbook. just some thoughts...

I've copied it out to another sheet and left out a lot of the formulas that are going in the original. It kept running slow. Other programs are running normally.
