Excel VBA Copy Rows to new sheet based on values

I have a master worksheet and want to copy/cut rows to new sheets based on the value in the first column. I don't need a sheet for every value, so I need to be able to specify which "values" I want it to pull. I would like it to paste the rows under existing data if the worksheet exists already. I also need to be able to rerun it to add new rows to the sheets, without repeating the ones that are already there.

I have been at it all day and haven't been able to get it to where I need it to be. Any help would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Welcome to the Board!

Just a few questions:

Can you post an example of what you've got now (see the link beneath my sig for how)?

How are you going to specify what should be cut/copied to other sheets?

As for repeating the data, if your cutting/pasting then it shouldn't be a problem unless you're importing duplicate data. If you're copying/pasting and leaving the original information, then you'll need a way to identify what's existing and what's new.

Finally, what should the trigger for all of this be? A button press, a certain action, etc.

I don't have that much experience, but this is what I have been able to find that almost does what I need. The only changes I want to try and make are when I update the master sheet and rerun it, it doesn't repeat the rows on the other sheets, it just adds the new information. Unfortunately I can't post the excel file due to its content.

Sub Copy_To_Worksheets
'Note: This macro use the function LastRow and SheetExists

Dim Lr As Long

'You can also add the sheet name to the code like this :

OK, you'll need to point out how to determine what's new vs. what's not. Does each record have a unique identifier?

No, but I suppose I could make one. A continuous numbering scheme that will uniquely identify each record and new ones.

It can be something as simple as labeling the copied rows with a tag (like "copied on xx/xx").

You just need a way to differentiate what's new information.
