Hi all

I have a cell (say A1) that contains data (in HH:MM) format.

What I would like to do in the next cell (A2) I would like to extract the minute part of A1 but have it in a normal number format so for eg 01:41 would just show as 41 in cell A2.

I can do it by just changing the number format to MM in A2 but i need to be able to use that number as a whole number in its own right in another calculation I will be doing later on.

Is this possible at all and if so how can i do it.

Thanks in advance

Thanks both - trying to over complicate it all again - is so simple when you get the answer.

Thanks again
