How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney

If the data in sheet 2 is all in 1 column, you can use a Vlookup

=Vlookup(lookup_Value,Table_Array,Col_Index_Num,Range_lookup)

Lookup_Value = The Value in Sheet 1
Table Array = The range in Sheet 2 (Starting with the first Column the information will appear in)
Col_Index_Num = the number of rows to the right the date appears (1 is the column you are looking up, so one right is 2)
Range_Lookup = False for Exact match

What if the date is on the left of the value? and if the value does not exist does the cell remain blank or do i have to include that into the formula somehow.?

If the data is on the left you will need to use an Index/Match combo, For missing info I usually put in an If statement

=If(ISERROR(Your Formula),"",Your Formula)
