Formatting of tabs created by drilling down in a pivottable

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically format a tab created when drilling to the details in a pivottable? I would like to be able to hide or omit certain columns, apply formatting and conditional formatting to the cells, carry forward the column header after page breaks, etc.

I find it easiest to record a macro.
