Formula in excel with multiple criteria

Hello! :)

I need your help. what formula should i use if for example in column B or range B. if the a cell contains the word "box" the cell in column D will appear "gift" but if it is "paper" column d will appear as "wrapper". if "sweets" it will appear as "food" thank you.

D1 -->

=IF(B1="box", "gift", IF(B1="paper", "wrapper", IF(B1="sweets", "food", "")))

Is that what you want?

is it also applicable if i am only looking for a text string. for example, the word in column can be box of toys or papers.
