I need a vba code that calculate the amount of letters in a combobox, if the number of letters>5 calculation is set to manual and back to automatic after a delay of 0.5 seconds, this code need to activate when the user starts writing in the combobox but not refresh itself everytime the user write another letter after the fifth

You need to look a lost focus. In VBA for the control box (double click to open) upper right drop down.
