Hi there Pivot Tables Gurus,

I have 2 pivot tables on the same worksheet that reference the same database by using a dynamic named range. My 2 pivot tables show values by date, but I want the one PT to be by date, and the other to be by Month, however if i change the one, the other updates to the same grouping. I have a feeling this is something to do with the Cache?

how do I overcome this?

Did you make the second one by copy and paste the first one , Copy and paste PT will share it with same Cashe, this make the Problem

any way to solve it you should do it with create the Pivot from Tab Insert--> Pivot
ans second time do it again from Tab Insert--> Pivot

Hi there Yahya, I tried what you said but even if I start the Monthly Pivot table from there, it still has the effect on the date PT.

However I created a 2nd dynamic named range "DB_2" and this seems to be working. maybe because the names are the same it shares the cashe?
