I am trying to pull information from a website using a web query in Excel 2003. This part is easy. Now for the difficult part, in order to pull the information I need, I have to manipulate a drop down menu within the page and run my choice. The problem is the site returns the desired information but the URL remains the same, so the easy way out is not available. This is at PWCmoneytree.com > historical trend data. I tried recording macro to get coding for this but it doesn't seem to fully address the problem (incomplete instructions because the query window outside of workbook? Not really clear on this). I also tried saving the html and using the code but I can't figure it out. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
