hey everyone :) I'm new to this site and somewhat of a noob when it comes to excel since I'm really just used to doing things the old way (pen and paper.) well let me start off by apologizing if I'm not very clear in what i am trying to get across here. i am garment manufacturing contractor who is busy all the time and at times i lose track of what my employees are putting out production wise so i would like to keep track of what comes in and comes out from my factory i would like to create a worksheet where i can know who is producing what. what the style # cut # color and # of units per style for example my if i get in a new cut example the cut is 10000 units sizes small medium large and extra large I'm splitting the cut and i will be separating the the units into packs of 100 units per size so small will have 25 packs of 100 units each and so on for medium large and extra large and its going through overlock single needle and cover stitch machines the cut #is 9396 the style #is wta0483 the color is blacki want all of that info to go into a barcode which will then tell me where exactly i stand as far as production. i want to give each pack of 100 units a barcode once so once its done it records it in excel and makes my life much easier I'm sorry if there is a thread about this or if i am all over the place ....please help.
