Hello!

I work with manufacturing security doors, and to make my life easier I wanted to create an excel chart with a table of materials in the inventory then subtract from them the materials I need for each type of door I am going to make.

For example, let us say I made door1 and it requires X amount of bolts and X amount of welding wires ...etc I want to subtract that from the inventory when I write the door type.

I have not used excel much, but I know the very basic formulas, anyone knows how can I create this, please?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You can accomplish your goal utilizing basic math functions of ADDITION, SUBTRACTION, MULTIPLICATION.

You'll need a list of your different door types ... which parts and how many of each for each door type.

Then layout your spreadsheet accordingly for each door type.
