Hi, I have this formula

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B5,'Return Stock Data'!A$2:B$500,2,FALSE), "Car Stock")

and would like it to return a blank cell if B5 is empty so as I can apply it to all cells and only have it visible when a lookup value is entered into column B.

Any advice?

Cheers

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You wouldnt be able to return a blank cell in the truest sense (without using VBA). You can however, get it to return an empty string so it APPEARS blank.

Something like this perhaps?
=IF(ISBLANK(B5),"",IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B5,'Return Stock Data'!A$2:B$500,2,FALSE), "Car Stock"))

you could also shorten that to this...
=IF(B5="","",IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B5,'Return Stock Data'!A$2:B$500,2,FALSE), "Car Stock"))
