I've written an IF statement on excel as shown below. However I would expect the cell K132 to say "false" when the value is blank but it returns "true". Why is this? It is unique to this sheet of my workbook. When I try it on other sheets, it returns false as expected. Any help would be appreciated.

it returns #VALUE.
That does not agree with K132 being empty. Can you please post the sample data with XL2BB?
Alternatively, can you upload a sample workbook where this is happening to DropBox or OneDrive or Google Drive and post a publicly shared link here?

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
it returns #VALUE. On other sheets, this formula returns 0.

Hope that works. Never shared anything on Google Drive. It's the 'pressure drop calc' tab.

Thanks for the link & yes, it works. (y)

There certainly is something strange going on with that particular worksheet and as yet I can't see what is causing that behaviour.
It is late here and I am signing off for the night and will not be back for nearly a week. Hopefully somebody else will step in and have a look and can shed some light on what is happening. 🤞

Goto File, Options, Advanced, scroll down to the bottom & "Lotus compatibility settings for:" uncheck the "Transition formula evaluation" box & everything should be fine.
