Info from one sheet to another

Hello,

as member of an automobile club, i was wondering if you could help me.

I have a simple database in excel on one sheet and the inscription form on another.
Can I get all the participants info just by typing the membernumber in the inscriptionsheet?
And then I would like to be able to click on the right car of the participant (they usually have more than one ) so we can see wich car he actually used during the event.

What is an inscription form / sheet ?

In principle, you can pull all this information across from one sheet to another.

For example, let's say your database contains member numbers in Col A, and member name in Col B, all on sheet 1.

Then your "inscription form" is on sheet 2.
Plug your member number into cell A1 on sheet 2.
To bring across the member name, input this formula -

=vlookup(A1,'Sheet 2'!A1:B1000,2,false)

and edit as required.

it's clear that english is not my native tongue

The form is used to register people who want to take part in a rally we organise.
We have their membernr, name, street, city, PC, and car 1, car 2, car3, ... /owner in one sheet, and we would like to type their membernr in another sheet, so that we get their info automat(icly?) and we are able to click (and register) the right car.
