Is it possible to have an invisible but clickable area on a UserForm - I want to have a "back door" to take me out of a menu driven view, so that I can edit a spreadsheet. I'm using Excel 2010.

Thanks,

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
OldMan1950,

Try adding a Label.
Then in Properties...

Delete the Caption.

Set Back Style to BackStyleTransparent

BorderStyleNone will be the default but none the less still click and select BorderStyleNone from the drop down which should render the border invisible.

The you can double the Label (if you can find it ;) ) and code for the click event.

Hope that helps.

Ah yes - Thank you Snakehips. Of course you can click on anything really I suppose - I was just trapped into thinking that only a Command Button was clickable in the way I wanted. Thanks again.

You are welcome. Thanks for the feedback.

You can make a button transparent, but for some reason, you don't appear to have an option to get rid of the border on a button.
With the Label you can do both.
I've done similar with an invisible shape in a sheet. Which is fine if years later you can remember that you've done it and where it is!!
