I want to have the date give a Monday date. So 8/24/18 will be 8/20/18 but if 8/13/18, a Monday date, then it should show 8/13/18. I was going to create a cell for days of the week and write an if statement. this s y formula without the cell text
=B5-WEEKDAY(B5-2)
<colgroup><col width="143" style="width: 107pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 2490;"> <tbody> </tbody>

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
That is a solid formula.
If it is working correctly for you, there is no reason to change it.
