Hi, I have a file that needs deleted and I'm looking for advice on how to do just this. What I have is a file with 4 tabs of data, with formulas linking various fields on each sheet. What I would like to do is after a certain date have the file delete upon saving. What I'm not sure is the best way to do this. Would it be easier to write code that would simply erase all data in all 4 tabs and save? Or is there a way to write code that would actually delete the file from the drive it is save on? Would setting an expiry date be what I'm looking for?

thanks for any advice you have!

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
It depends which way you want to do it....both methods will require VBA.
If you want to reuse the file why not simply remove ALL data and leave the formulae
Keep in mind though, that permanently deleting stuff, may have regrets.

If you are working for a company, you might be getting into legal territory, by deleting company work !!!
