I would like a macro to kill only all excel files in all the directories in my computer. Can anyone write the procedure to do this. Thanks very much.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
This seems like a very strange request. Why would you want to do this?

A non-VBA approach would be to right click on your MY COMPUTER, click on SEARCH, under the ALL FILES AND FOLDERS ,ALL OR PART OF THE FILENAME, type *.xls and click SEARCH.

Highlight the results of the search and press delete.

If you really want to do this, and I've got to agree iit is a strange request, why not just use the DOS command del *.xls?
