Legend Problems

I have a Excel stacked table. It actually has three bars but the third is a total of the first two so I have it as zero in the table and just have the data label at the top to display the total of the first two bars. My problem is that I can't get the proper title on the Legend. I need the first two to show but the second two show. The bars are showing up correctly in the table.

22,499 120,133 0

Legend

When I plot your data (Excel 2000) as a stacked column chart I get 3 legend entries:

Column 3
Column 2
Column 1

So, did I mess it up somewhere along the way and need to redo the whole thing?

I don't know. What did you do - delete the wrong legend entry?

When I right click on the legend and choose Select Data Source, under Legend Entries (Series) it shows all three columns. Also, when I click on each entry, It has the proper chart data range. . .

Have you tried resizing the legend?

That is the first thing I tried. Both height and width.

Try deleting it and then adding it back to the chart.

I deleted column 1 and re-entered it but nothing changed. I will try deleting the whole table and re-entering it.

If I redo the chart I have all three series there - how do I get column three not to show up in the legend?
