Linked Picture Causing Print/Print Preview Crash

Excel 2003. Summary sheet with linked pic to other worksheet in book causes Excel to crash when a print or print preview request is made. If copy the same data as a pic instead of a linked pic no issues. What causes this?

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
