Just a quick question.
I am working a lot with the Ascend order function,
and was wondering if there is a way to guaranttee that the cell references don't get mixed up.

I am working on two different lists with mostly the same data, but the second list has a few entries omitted.
In the process of trying to link the two lists via formulas and references, I cannot keep track of how the cell references are being switched around.

I am using the ascend/descend function for both lists, so the Absolute Reference (with $ sings) does not work

It might be two separate questions, but I would appreciate any response that fits the need

Thanks in advance!

Not everything I do at work revolves around Excel. Only the fun parts.
See if this works:

Instead of linking through formulas, highlight the first list and copy it, then go to desired location for second list and paste special/paste link.

I just tested this, and when you filter one list the other filters along with it.
