Hi All!

Question for you! :)

I have 6 sheets in a workbook. Several cells in 5 of those sheets, I need to link to the sixth sheet. Is there anyway that I can link these as a group instead of linking each indiviudal cell? I would say that I have a couple hundred, and doing them individually makes my head hurt! :)

Please help!
TIA!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
2 questions:

1. When you said you need to link several cells of the 5 sheets to the 6th sheets, did you mean summing those cells in the 6th sheet or what kind of linking are you referring to?

2. Are the formats in all the sheets the same e.g. you are linking cell J10 of the 6th sheet to cell J10 of the other 5 sheets?

Yes, I need to link them together to come up with a Sum on the final sheet.

Yes, the formats are the same in each sheet.

TIA!

Assuming your sheetnames are:

Sheet1
Sheet2
Sheet3
Sheet4
Sheet5
Sheet6

In Sheet6, e.g. cell J10, enter this formula:

=SUM(Sheet1:Sheet5!J10)

That will sum up all the values in cell J10 of Sheets1 to Sheet5. Copy down or up as necessary.

The key here is the arrangement of the sheet. Sheet1 must come first and Sheet5 must be at the other end (just before Sheet6). Sheet6 must not be in between those sheets.

Hope I have explained it clearly..
