Hi,

I have a spreadsheet at work that I am trying to build. I work for the Supply Chain group of a major EPC company in Houston. I have a spreadsheet of approx 15K rows, each row contains a PO number in the following format - A0001, B0002, C0003.

What I need to do is assign names to the prefix of each PO, for example A = pencils, B = paper, C = pens.

I want to creat a macro because I have 14 different categories, each needs a name in the format described above, in the column to the right side of the PO number.

Does anyone have any ideas?
