Hello,
for this project I'm working on in VBA it requires me to use a marco to interpret data from an excel sheet. However, this sheet is to be updated over time and I need a way for the marco to run when the file is saved, or at least at a consistent time with it. Is there any practical way to do this?

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi

There is an event in the Workbook object called BeforeSave. This will run code everytime you save the workbook. Go to the object explorer in the VBA editor and double click ThisWorkbook. Then paste this:

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeSave(ByVal SaveAsUI As Boolean, Cancel as Boolean)

'Place your pre-save routine here.

End Sub

Events are a powerful way to automate excel. A few of the most used:
Workbook_Open
Workbook_BeforeClose
Workbook_BeforeUpdate

Etc. You can also run code when you select a particular cell, for example.
